Booking conversion rate

Answering the phone is only half the job - what matters is how many of those calls turn into booked work. Enter your numbers below to see where you stand against benchmark. If you want to check the calls you're not even answering, try the missed call revenue calculator.
Illustrative benchmark for local service businesses is roughly 35-40%.
This is an estimate based on the numbers you enter and general industry benchmarks - actual results vary by business and season.
How the booking conversion rate is calculated
Your booking conversion rate is the share of answered calls that end in a booked job: calls booked divided by calls answered, times 100. If you answered 240 calls last month and booked 70 jobs, that is 70 / 240, or about 29%. The calculator then compares that rate with the benchmark you set and multiplies the gap by your average job value to show what the difference is worth per month and per year.
Count only calls from people who wanted to buy - skip wrong numbers and vendor calls - so the rate reflects real demand. A low rate usually points to slow callbacks, no after-hours coverage or no clear next step on the call. Calls you never answer are a separate leak: size them with the missed call revenue calculator and the lead response time calculator.
